Getting in
Age, ID and the Rewards Card
At Caesars Windsor the age line shifts with the place and the card you want. The checker on this page sorts the 19+, all-ages and 21+ rules for each person in your group.

Age lines by place
Who gets in where
Age, a photo ID, a self-exclusion: the doors at Caesars Windsor, sorted for you.
| Place | Who gets in |
|---|---|
| Casino floor | 19 and older |
| Poker room | 19 and older |
| Legends Sports Bar | 19 and older |
| Tim Hortons | 19 and older |
| Indoor pool | Adults only |
| Augustus Tower | All ages |
| Convention complex | All ages |
| Caesars Rewards card | 21 and older, valid government-issued photo ID |
The casino and its related outlets are 19+. Ontario law says no one under 19 may enter or remain in a gaming site, except in the course of employment. Staff on shift are the exception, not younger guests.
All ages are welcome in two parts of the resort: the Augustus Tower and the convention complex. A family can share a room in the Augustus Tower while the casino floor stays 19+.
Some outlets carry their own tag. Legends Sports Bar and Tim Hortons are both marked 19 and up. The indoor pool, with its whirlpool and Detroit skyline view, is reserved for adults. Check each stop before building a teenager's day around it.
Photo ID
Valid government-issued photo ID is the proof of age for a Caesars Rewards card. The same rule applies when redeeming Reward Credits. Management decides which ID is acceptable.
One general tip: carry the government-issued photo ID you would show at any 19+ venue, and check that it is valid. A card without a photo does not meet the rewards-card rule, whatever else it proves.
The 21+ card
Can I get a Caesars Rewards card?
Three answers, then the next step.
- Are you 21 or older?
- Do you have valid government-issued photo ID?
- Are you self-excluded or trespassed?
Answer the three questions.
Caesars Rewards: 21 or older to enroll; valid government-issued photo ID to get the card and to redeem Reward Credits; join online at caesars.com/program. People who are trespassed or self-excluded cannot attend the casino or its outlets.
Caesars Rewards sets its own age line: 21 or older to enrol, not 19. A 19- or 20-year-old can be on the casino floor but cannot enrol. The casino and the card simply use different numbers. Valid government-issued photo ID is the proof of age for the card. Management decides which ID is acceptable.
Members earn and redeem rewards at over 55 hotels and casinos while playing, dining and shopping. Enrolment is online at caesars.com/program. The regional tourism board says Caesars Windsor is the only property in Canada offering Caesars Rewards.
Who cannot enter
People who are trespassed or self-excluded cannot attend Caesars Windsor or its outlets. Being 19 or older and carrying valid photo ID does not change that.
My PlayBreak is OLG's self-exclusion program for Ontario casinos, Charitable Gaming Centres and OLG.ca. Casino terms run 3 or 6 months, or 1 to 5 years. A casino break bars entry to any Ontario casino for the chosen term and cannot be cancelled early. To enrol, call the OLG Support Centre at 1-800-387-0098, ask staff on site, or see a PlaySmart Centre coordinator.
Questions to the desk
- Can a 19-year-old get a Caesars Rewards card?
- No, the program requires members to be 21 or older to enrol. At 19 or 20, a guest can enter the casino but cannot hold a Caesars Rewards card.
- Can teenagers stay at the hotel?
- All ages are welcome in the Augustus Tower and the convention complex. The casino and its related outlets are 19+, so teenagers stay out of those areas.
- Can a 19-year-old get Tim Hortons at Caesars Windsor?
- Yes, a 19-year-old meets the tag: Tim Hortons at Caesars Windsor is marked 19 and up. It is open 24 hours.
- What ID counts as proof of age?
- Valid government-issued photo ID is the proof of age for a Caesars Rewards card and for redeeming Reward Credits. Management decides which ID is acceptable. Bring the photo ID you would show at any 19+ venue.
